Homemade Falafel

Delicious homemade falafel, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, bursting with fresh flavors from herbs and spices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can chickpeas (or 1.5 cups cooked chickpeas)
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 23 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Rinse and Drain the Chickpeas
  2. Combine Ingredients in the Food Processor
  3. Shape into Balls or Patties
  4. Fry to Golden Perfection
  5. Drain and Serve

Notes

Serve wrapped in pita with tahini sauce and fresh vegetables. Can be baked for a healthier version.
