A quick and flavorful weeknight dish that combines sweet and spicy flavors, perfect for meal prep.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine the Marinade: In a bowl, mix together hot sauce, honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken thighs in the bowl and ensure each piece is thoroughly coated in the marinade. Cover and let marinate for at least 30 minutes; if you have more time, letting it sit for a few hours will deepen the flavor!
  3. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C), allowing it to reach the right temperature while the chicken is marinating.
  4. Bake the Chicken: Arrange the marinated chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and has reached an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  5. Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving, and prepare yourself for the delightful flavor explosion!

Notes

For the best flavor, marinate overnight if possible. This dish pairs well with steamed rice or quinoa.
