A vibrant and spicy dish featuring crispy chicken coated in a tangy glaze, inspired by Asian street food.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cubed
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice according to the package instructions.
  2. Prepare the coating mixture by mixing flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat each cubed chicken piece in beaten eggs, then in the flour mixture.
  4. Fry the chicken pieces in hot oil until golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Combine soy sauce, honey, sriracha, garlic, and ginger in another bowl.
  6. Toss the chicken in the sauce until well coated.
  7. Serve over rice and garnish with sliced green onions.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Adjust honey and sriracha to taste.
