  2. Heat the skillet: Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter or oil.
  3. Pour the batter: Pour batter into the skillet, using about 1/4 cup for each pancake.
  4. Cook until bubbly: Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown.

Notes
