Decadent French Silk Pie with a rich chocolate filling and buttery crust, topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, melted
  • Whipped cream (for topping)
  • Chocolate shavings (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the pie crust according to the package instructions and let it cool completely.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter with sugar and vanilla until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  3. Slowly add the melted chocolate to the butter-sugar mixture while blending until just combined.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Beat the mixture for about 5 minutes until it’s smooth and creamy.
  5. Pour the chocolate filling into the cooled pie crust, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  6. Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours or, even better, overnight to set properly.
  7. Before serving, top the pie generously with whipped cream and garnish with chocolate shavings for that show-stopping finish.

Notes

This pie is best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Consider flavor variations like peppermint extract or coffee liqueur.
