  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Butter (for greasing)
  • Maple syrup (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish generously with butter.
  2. Cube the bread into 1-inch pieces.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the cubed bread, ensuring each piece is coated.
  5. Allow the mixture to sit for about 15 minutes to soak.
  6. Transfer the baking dish to the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Serve warm, drizzled with maple syrup.
