A delightful treat combining a crunchy exterior with creamy ice cream inside, perfect for warm nights or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup of cornflakes, crushed
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup of flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • Oil for frying
  • Chocolate or caramel sauce (optional)
  • Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Scoop and Freeze the Ice Cream: Scoop the ice cream into balls and place them on a baking sheet. Freeze for at least 2 hours until they are firm.
  2. Crush the Cornflakes: In a bowl, mix the crushed cornflakes with cinnamon and sugar to create a sweet coating.
  3. Beat the Egg: In another bowl, beat the egg until it’s frothy for binding the coating to the ice cream.
  4. Coat the Ice Cream Balls: Dip each frozen ice cream ball into the flour, then into the egg, and finally coat with the cornflake mixture.
  5. Heat the Oil: Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat until hot but not smoking.
  6. Fry to Perfection: Fry the coated ice cream balls for 10-15 seconds until golden brown.
  7. Drain and Serve: Place on paper towels to drain excess oil and serve immediately with sauces and toppings.

Notes

Ensure ice cream balls are completely frozen for easier frying and optimal texture.
