Delicious and easy-to-make Greek Chicken Gyros with tender marinated chicken, warm pita, fresh veggies, and tzatziki sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pita bread
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • Sliced red onion
  • Tzatziki sauce
  • Chopped lettuce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high temperature.
  2. Mix the olive oil, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl to create a marinade.
  3. Coat the chicken breasts with the marinade and let sit for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Grill the marinated chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
  5. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes.
  6. Warm the pita bread on the grill for about a minute.
  7. Assemble the gyros by slicing the chicken and layering it on the pita with tomatoes, onions, lettuce, and tzatziki sauce.
  8. Fold the pita and enjoy!

Notes
