A celebration of bold flavors, these grilled steak tacos feature marinated flank steak in warm corn tortillas topped with fresh cilantro and lime.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Lime wedges
  • Salsa (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to high heat.
  2. Combine olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  3. Rub the spice mixture onto the flank steak, ensuring an even coating.
  4. Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side to desired doneness.
  5. Remove from grill and let it rest for a few minutes.
  6. Slice the steak against the grain into tender pieces.
  7. Warm the corn tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds per side.
  8. Assemble the tacos with steak, chopped cilantro, lime juice, and salsa if desired.

Notes

Serve with a refreshing corn salad or an avocado and tomato salad. Pairs well with sparkling water or beer.
