Grilled Tuscan Garlic Bruschetta

A delightful bruschetta featuring smoky grilled bread topped with a fresh tomato and basil mixture.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf baguette
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 200 g cherry tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  2. Slice the baguette on a diagonal into 1/2-inch thick pieces.
  3. Whisk together minced garlic, extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, sea salt, and black pepper.
  4. Brush both sides of each bread slice with half of the garlic-oil mixture.
  5. Grill the slices for 1–2 minutes per side until golden grill marks appear.
  6. Halve the cherry tomatoes and toss with the remaining garlic-oil mixture and chopped basil.
  7. Rub each grilled slice with a whole garlic clove for extra flavor.
  8. Top each grilled slice with a generous spoonful of the tomato and basil mixture.
  9. Serve warm or at room temperature with extra basil on top.

Notes

Experiment with toppings like cheese or different herbs for variation.
