Delicious hand pies filled with flavorful ground beef and sautéed aromatics, perfect for family gatherings or a quick snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (optional)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the beef, cooking until softened and fragrant.
  4. Stir in the mixed vegetables (if using), salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce, cooking for another 5 minutes.
  5. Roll out the refrigerated pie crusts on a floured surface and cut into 4-5 inch circles.
  6. Place a spoonful of the beef filling in the center of each dough circle.
  7. Fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape, sealing the edges with a fork.
  8. Arrange the hand pies on a baking sheet and brush the tops with beaten egg.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!
