A comforting, quick, and nourishing soup that brings all the beloved flavors of traditional cabbage rolls into a cozy bowl.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 small head green cabbage, chopped
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in the chopped cabbage, rice, tomato sauce, beef broth, salt, pepper, and thyme.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer.
  5. Cover and let cook for about 30 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the cabbage is cooked through.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  7. Serve hot, and enjoy the comforting flavors!

Notes
