Ingredients
Scale
1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
1 tbsp olive oil
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tsp fresh ginger (grated)
1 tsp cornstarch (mixed with 1 tbsp water)
Instructions
Make the Honey Garlic Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. In a separate tiny bowl, mix the cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water to create a slurry. Set both aside.
Season the Shrimp: Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel and season with salt and pepper.
Heat the Olive Oil: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook the Shrimp: Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until they turn pink and are just opaque.
Combine with Sauce: Reduce the heat to low and pour the honey garlic sauce over the cooked shrimp. Stir to coat the shrimp.
Thicken the Sauce: Pour in the cornstarch slurry and continue to cook, stirring constantly for about 1 minute until thickened.
Garnish and Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions if desired. Serve immediately.
