  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast: In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.
  3. Combine mixtures: Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough: Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  5. Let the dough rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for about 30 minutes until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Shape the buns: Divide the dough into equal portions, shape into buns, and place on a baking sheet.
  8. Second rise: Allow the buns to rise for another 15 minutes.
  9. Brush with egg wash: Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  10. Bake to perfection: Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Cool before serving: Let cool before serving.
