Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups sliced fresh peaches
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for the delicious transformation.
  2. Combine the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a large bowl. Pour this mixture into a greased baking dish.
  3. Mix together the all-purpose flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Stir in the milk and melted butter to the dry mixture, whisking until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter over the peach mixture, being careful not to disturb the peaches too much.
  6. Bake your cobbler in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until it’s golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Allow the cobbler to cool for a bit before serving warm, preferably with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Opt for ripe, juicy peaches for the best flavor. If not in season, canned or frozen peaches can be used but drain them well.
