Create vibrant stained glass lollipops that are a feast for the eyes and a delightful treat, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp flavoring extract (your choice)
  • Gel food coloring in multiple colors
  • 12 lollipop sticks
  • Cooking spray or oil for molds

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Molds: Lightly grease lollipop molds with cooking spray, insert sticks, and set on a flat heat-safe surface with all gel colors ready.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, water, and cream of tartar. Stir gently to dissolve.
  3. Cook to Hard Crack Stage: Cook the mixture on medium heat until it reaches 300-310°F.
  4. Rest and Flavor: Remove the pan from heat and allow it to rest for 1-2 minutes, then quickly stir in the flavoring extract.
  5. Prepare Colors: Pour the syrup into separate heat-safe cups, add gel food coloring to each cup, and stir quickly.
  6. Layer the Syrups: Layer and overlap the colored syrups into the prepared mold cavities.
  7. Cool Completely: Allow the lollipops to cool completely undisturbed for 20-30 minutes.
  8. Release and Wrap: Gently flex the molds to release the lollipops and wrap each one in cellophane.

Notes

Store your stained glass lollipops in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks.
