These jam tarts combine a flaky puff pastry crust with sweet fruit jam filling, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry
  • 1 cup fruit jam (your choice)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Cut the pastry into circles that will fit your muffin tin.
  4. Place the circles into a greased muffin tin and press gently to form shells.
  5. Spoon a generous amount of fruit jam into each shell.
  6. Beat the egg and brush it over the edges of the pastry.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the pastry is puffed and golden.
  8. Allow to cool for a few minutes and optionally dust with powdered sugar.
  9. Enjoy your delicious jam tarts!

Notes

Best served warm or at room temperature; pairs well with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
