  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until it shimmers.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Cook the shrimp in the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper, until they turn pink, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, cook the orzo according to package directions until al dente and drain, reserving a splash of pasta water.
  5. Add the cooked orzo to the skillet with the shrimp, tossing to combine.
  6. Stir in the lemon juice and zest to enhance the flavors.
  7. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the dish and stir until incorporated.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.
