A delightful and refreshing mango sorbet made with ripe mangoes and a hint of lime, perfect for hot summer days.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar and water in a saucepan. Heat over medium until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Cool the syrup completely while preparing the mangoes.
  3. Puree the diced mangoes with lime juice and salt in a blender until smooth.
  4. Mix the mango puree with the cooled sugar syrup until combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  6. Freeze the mixture in a shallow dish if you don’t have an ice cream maker, stirring every 30 minutes until fluffy and frozen, about 3-4 hours.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a month. For the best flavor, enjoy within a week.
