A comforting and indulgent spaghetti bake layered with rich flavors, perfect for busy weeknight dinners or gatherings.

  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. Brown the ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat until cooked through. Drain excess fat.
  4. Add marinara sauce to the meat in the skillet and heat through.
  5. Mix ricotta cheese, egg, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  6. Layer a large baking dish with half the cooked spaghetti, half the meat sauce, all the ricotta mixture, and half the mozzarella cheese.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining spaghetti and meat sauce, topping with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding sautéed onions or bell peppers to the meat mixture. This dish can be prepped in advance and is great for leftovers.
