A comforting baked pasta dish with layers of ricotta, mozzarella, and a savory meat sauce, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. Sauté the ground beef with diced onion and minced garlic until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in the marinara sauce and Italian seasoning; simmer for 5 minutes to blend the flavors.
  5. Combine ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese; season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Layer half the spaghetti, followed by the meat sauce, and then the ricotta mixture in a baking dish. Top with remaining spaghetti and mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake covered with foil for 25 minutes; then uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Make it personal by adding vegetables or spices. Can be assembled a day in advance.
