  • 1 cup crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup vodka
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish
  • Pasta of your choice

Instructions

  1. Sautéing onion and garlic: In a large skillet, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic over medium heat until translucent.
  2. Adding tomatoes and vodka: Add the crushed tomatoes and vodka, then bring to a simmer.
  3. Mixing in cream and spices: Stir in the heavy cream and red pepper flakes, and cook for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  4. Incorporating Parmesan: Mix in the grated Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cooking the pasta: Cook the pasta according to package instructions, then drain and toss it with the vodka sauce.
  6. Garnishing and serving: Serve garnished with fresh basil.

Notes
