A decadent dessert featuring a creamy filling, rich chocolate, and a crumbly crust, perfect for family gatherings or quiet nights at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, sugar, and melted butter; mix well. Press this mixture into the bottom of a pie pan, ensuring it’s even all the way across.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Pour this luscious mixture over the prepared crust, spreading it out evenly.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until set. Once done, allow the pie to cool completely on a wire rack. Patience is key—this dessert is best served chilled!
  4. While the pie cools, whip the heavy cream in a bowl until soft peaks form. It’s fluffy, airy, and the perfect contrast to the density of the pie. Spread the whipped cream generously over the cooled pie.
  5. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips using a microwave or double boiler. Once melted, drizzle this heavenly chocolate over the whipped cream before serving. Look at that shining layer of chocolate… perfection!

Notes

For a crispy crust, consider baking it for 5-10 minutes before adding the filling. Make sure the pie cools completely before adding the whipped cream to prevent it from melting. For a fun twist, swap out the graham cracker crust for an Oreo crust!
