A classic Mississippi Pot Roast that offers melt-in-your-mouth tenderness and vibrant flavors, perfect for family gatherings or cozy dinners.

Ingredients

  • 34 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 56 pepperoncini peppers
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).
  2. Season the beef chuck roast generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the seasoned roast in a baking dish, then sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix evenly over the top.
  4. Add the half cup of butter right on top of the roast.
  5. Scatter the pepperoncini peppers around the roast.
  6. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for about 5-6 hours.
  7. Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest before shredding and serving with the savory juices.

Notes

For best results, use beef chuck roast and do not skip the low and slow cooking method.
