Mongolian Beef Stir Fry

A delightful blend of tender beef, crisp broccoli, and aromatic ginger, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef, sliced thinly
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup broccoli florets

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef in 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until nicely browned.
  4. Sauté the minced garlic and ginger in the same pan until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  5. Toss in the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
  6. Return the beef to the pan, add 1/4 cup of brown sugar and 1/4 cup of soy sauce, and stir for 2-3 more minutes.
  7. Add the sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

Serve over steamed jasmine rice or noodles. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
