Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 block firm tofu, pressed and cubed
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the cubed tofu to the hot skillet and cook until golden brown and crisp on all sides, about 7-10 minutes.
  3. Once your tofu is beautifully browned, toss in the sliced mushrooms and stir for about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for an additional minute.
  5. If you’re using mixed vegetables, add them to the skillet and sauté until tender.
  6. Pour in the soy sauce and toss everything together, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve hot, accompanied by steamed rice or noodles.

Notes

Press your tofu to remove excess water for crispiness. Use seasonal vegetables for variety.
