Classic New England lobster rolls filled with creamy lobster meat, served in buttery toasted rolls for a perfect summer treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound cooked lobster meat, chopped
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hot dog rolls or split-top buns
  • Butter for toasting
  • Lettuce leaves, for serving

Instructions

  1. Mix the chopped lobster meat, mayonnaise, lemon juice, celery salt, salt, and pepper in a bowl until well combined.
  2. Butter the outside of the hot dog rolls generously.
  3. Toast the buttered rolls in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Assemble each toasted roll with fresh lettuce leaves.
  5. Fill the rolls generously with the lobster mixture.
  6. Serve immediately with a side of potato chips or a light salad.

Notes

Ensure the lobster meat is well-drained to avoid a soupy mixture. Don’t skimp on the butter for toasting the rolls.
