A warm and comforting breakfast bake combining oats and tender apples with a hint of cinnamon, perfect for cozy mornings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 ½ cups milk (or almond milk for dairy-free)
  • 1 large apple, diced
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with a little olive oil or butter.
  2. Whisk together the eggs, milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Stir in the oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Fold in the diced apples and chopped walnuts or pecans.
  5. Pour the mixture into your greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  7. Let the bake cool for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes
