Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 oz bacon, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Crisping the bacon: In a large pot, cook the diced bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pot.
  2. Browning the beef: Add the ground beef to the pot and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary, allowing the juicy flavors to mingle.
  3. Sautéing aromatics: Stir in the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened and fragrant.
  4. Adding tomatoes and broth: Add the diced tomatoes (with juices) and beef broth. Bring to a boil.
  5. Cooking the spaghetti: Stir in the spaghetti, ensuring it’s submerged in the liquid. Cook until tender.
  6. Simmering to tenderness: Reduce heat to a simmer and cover. Cook for about 12-15 minutes, or until the spaghetti is tender.
  7. Melting in the goodness: Stir in the cooked bacon and shredded cheddar cheese until melted and well combined.
  8. Final seasoning: Season with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting according to your flavor preference.
  9. Serving with joy: Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley for a fresh touch.
