  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • Orange slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the orange cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, orange juice, and orange zest. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  5. In another mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  6. Once the cake is cool, frost it generously with the whipped cream mixture.
  7. Garnish with fresh orange slices on top and serve.
