A flavorful and uncomplicated salmon dish featuring a crispy, cheesy topping of Parmesan and fresh basil, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 4 fillets of salmon (6 oz each)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, finely chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried basil)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Combine the grated Parmesan cheese, chopped basil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and paprika in a mixing bowl.
  3. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and drizzle olive oil evenly over each fillet.
  4. Press the Parmesan and basil mixture onto the top of each salmon fillet.
  5. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the salmon fillets, skin-side down.
  6. Cook the salmon in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes, until cooked through and topping is golden brown.
  7. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

Pairs beautifully with arugula salad, roasted asparagus, or quinoa. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
