Delightful and simple pecan pie bars that capture the nostalgic flavors of traditional pecan pie without the fuss of a crust.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking dish.
  2. Mix together the flour, softened butter, brown sugar, and salt until crumbly.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of your prepared baking dish.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
  5. Whisk the corn syrup, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined.
  6. Stir in the chopped pecans.
  7. Pour the pecan mixture over the baked crust.
  8. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until set and golden.
  9. Cool in the dish before cutting into bars.
