A creamy and tangy Penne Alla Vodka that transports you to Italy with every bite.

Ingredients

  • Penne pasta
  • Vodka
  • Heavy cream
  • Tomato sauce
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • Olive oil
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Basil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta by boiling a pot of salted water and cooking the penne until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté the aromatics by heating olive oil in a pan, adding chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened.
  3. Infuse with vodka by pouring it into the pan and simmering to reduce the alcohol.
  4. Add the tomato sauce and stir, cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and heat through until creamy.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce, mixing well to coat.
  8. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped basil before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently with a splash of cream.
