A classic, creamy quiche loaded with crispy bacon and Swiss cheese, perfect for brunch or a light dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust
  • 6 strips of bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1 cup grated Swiss cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Fit the pie crust into a 9-inch pie pan and prick the bottom with a fork.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg in a bowl.
  4. Spread the cooked bacon and grated cheese evenly over the pie crust.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the bacon and cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the quiche is set and golden on top.
  7. Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

For an extra-crisp bottom crust, consider blind baking the pie crust for about 10 minutes before adding the filling.
