Ingredients

  • Angel food cake or pound cake
  • Vanilla pudding or custard
  • Fresh strawberries, sliced
  • Blueberries
  • Whipped cream
  • Optional: mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cube the cake into cubes to create a base for your trifle.
  2. Layer the cake cubes at the bottom of a trifle dish, providing a fluffy foundation.
  3. Add a layer of vanilla pudding or custard over the cake, creating a luscious barrier.
  4. Layer on the sliced strawberries, adding pops of red.
  5. Follow with a layer of blueberries, introducing a sweet-tart flavor.
  6. Repeat the layering process until the dish is filled, finishing with whipped cream on top.
  7. Garnish with mint leaves if desired, then refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.

Notes

For a lighter topping, use reduced-fat coconut whipped cream. This trifle can be made a day ahead for better flavor melding.
