A delightful fall appetizer featuring roasted pears paired with creamy goat cheese and a sweet maple-walnut drizzle.

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe pears, halved and cored
  • 1 cup goat cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the pear halves cut-side up on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil; season with salt and pepper.
  3. Roast in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until tender and caramelized.
  4. Combine chopped walnuts and maple syrup in a small saucepan over medium heat; cook until toasted, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Top each pear half with crumbled goat cheese after removing from the oven.
  6. Drizzle the maple-walnut mixture over the goat cheese.
  7. Serve warm as an elegant appetizer.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in the oven.
