Delightful salted caramel cookies with chewy centers and golden edges, perfect for any sweet lover.

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce
  • Flaky sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Cream together 1 cup of unsalted butter, 1 cup of brown sugar, and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in 2 large eggs, one at a time, and add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  5. Whisk together 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in 1 cup of salted caramel sauce until well distributed.
  8. Scoop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  9. Sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt on top of each dough ball.
  10. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden and the centers look slightly underbaked.
  11. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For softer cookies, slightly underbake them. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to one week.
