A tender and versatile slow cooker shredded chicken recipe perfect for tacos, salads, sandwiches, and more.

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Pour chicken broth over the chicken.
  3. Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper on top.
  4. Set the cooker on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Shred the chicken using two forks once cooked.
  6. Return shredded chicken to slow cooker and mix with juices.

Notes

Use leftover shredded chicken in tacos, salads, or sandwiches. Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days or freeze for 3 months.
