Delightful shrimp tacos topped with crunchy slaw, perfect for a quick and enjoyable meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Season the shrimp: In a bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper until they are well coated and flavorful.
  2. Sauté the shrimp: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they turn pink and are cooked through.
  3. Warm the tortillas: In another skillet or over an open flame, warm the corn tortillas until they are soft and pliable.
  4. Assemble the tacos: Start assembling the tacos by placing a generous amount of the sautéed shrimp on each tortilla. Top with cabbage, tomatoes, and cilantro.
  5. Serve with zesty lime: Serve tacos with lime wedges on the side for a fresh finish.

Notes

Feel free to mix in your favorite toppings or substitute shrimp with chicken or black beans. Prepare the slaw ahead of time for easier assembly.
