Slow Cooker Baked Ziti

A comforting and hearty baked ziti made in the slow cooker, perfect for busy weeknights or lazy weekends.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces ziti pasta
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the ricotta mixture by mixing the ricotta cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Layer half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of the slow cooker, followed by half of the cooked ziti, and half of the ricotta mixture.
  4. Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses for that irresistible cheesy goodness.
  5. Repeat the layers starting with the remaining marinara sauce, then the rest of the cooked ziti, and the remaining ricotta mixture.
  6. Finish with the remaining marinara sauce, followed by the rest of the shredded cheeses on top.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours until the cheese is bubbly and melted. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Serve with a crisp side salad and warm garlic bread. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
