A delightful twist on the classic grilled cheese, featuring creamy smoked Gouda cheese and sweet apple slices for a warm, comforting dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 12 slices of smoked Gouda cheese
  • 1/2 apple, thinly sliced
  • Butter, for spreading

Instructions

  1. Heat your skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread butter generously on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, in the skillet.
  4. Layer 1-2 slices of smoked Gouda on top, followed by the apple slices.
  5. Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
  6. Cook until the bottom slice is golden brown, then flip carefully.
  7. Remove from skillet, slice it in half, and enjoy!

Notes

Pair with tomato soup or a salad for a complete meal. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days.
