A golden, airy focaccia infused with the tangy flavor of sourdough, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Optional toppings: herbs, garlic, cheese, olives

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, sourdough starter, water, and salt until well combined.
  2. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
  3. Incorporate the olive oil until evenly combined.
  4. Cover and let the dough rise at room temperature for 4-6 hours.
  5. Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C).
  6. Transfer the dough to a greased baking sheet and stretch it gently.
  7. Dimple the surface with your fingers and add toppings if desired.
  8. Let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
