  • 6 cups sliced fresh peaches
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a mixing bowl.
  3. Pour the peach mixture into a greased baking dish.
  4. Whisk together the remaining sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture and whisk until smooth.
  6. Pour the batter over the peach mixture in the baking dish.
  7. Place your dish in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes.
  8. Let the cobbler cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add blueberries or blackberries. If using frozen peaches, thaw and drain excess liquid. Freeze before baking for best results.
