A delightful dessert combining a crunchy pretzel crust, creamy cheese layer, and fruity strawberry topping, perfect for any occasion.

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 package (6 oz) strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine crushed pretzels, 1/2 cup sugar, and melted butter in a mixing bowl.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish and bake for 10 minutes.
  4. Let it cool.
  5. Beat together the softened cream cheese and 1 cup sugar until smooth in another large bowl.
  6. Fold in the whipped topping and spread this mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
  7. Dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water in a separate bowl.
  8. Stir in the sliced fresh strawberries.
  9. Pour the mixture over the cream cheese layer once it is slightly cooled.
  10. Refrigerate the salad for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

For a crunchier crust, press the pretzel mixture firmly into the pan. Experiment with different fruits for variations.
