Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef or pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup gochujang
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to set the stage for baking perfection.

  3. Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf. Pack it well to help it hold its shape while baking.
  4. Spread ketchup on top of the meatloaf for a classic tangy finish.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes, or until a meat thermometer reads 160°F (70°C).
  6. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Mix gently but thoroughly to avoid a tough meatloaf. Experiment with different meats or add vegetables for variations.
