A rich and moist dessert soaked in a trio of milks, topped with fluffy whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (for whipped cream)
  • Ground cinnamon (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the flour and baking powder in a bowl; set aside.
  3. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until fluffy, then add the eggs one at a time and stir in the vanilla.
  4. Mix in the flour mixture gradually until just combined.
  5. Bake the cake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.
  6. Prepare the milk mixture by combining the evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and whole milk in a bowl.
  7. Soak the cooled cake by poking holes in the top and pouring the milk mixture over it. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  8. Whip the heavy cream and sugar together until soft peaks form.
  9. Garnish the cake with whipped cream and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon before serving.

Notes

For best results, let the cake soak overnight. Serve chilled, pairing with fresh berries or strong coffee.
