Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 apples
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Sprinkles or other decorations (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Apples: Wash and dry the apples thoroughly, then remove the stems and insert a stick into the top of each apple.
  2. Make the Syrup Base: In a saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, and water. Cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Add Tropical Flavors: Add pineapple juice, lemon juice, and food coloring; boil until it reaches 300°F.
  4. Cool and Thicken: Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  5. Dip the Apples: Dip each apple into the syrup, allowing the excess to drip off.
  6. Decorate with Flair: Place dipped apples on a parchment-lined tray and add sprinkles while warm.
  7. Set and Enjoy: Allow candy apples to set before serving.

Notes

Ensure apples are completely dry before dipping in syrup. Use a candy thermometer for accuracy.
