A fresh and light dish featuring creamy avocados filled with a savory tuna mixture, perfect for lunch or a light dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 can of tuna, drained
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped celery or red onion (optional)
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half and remove the pits. Scoop out a little bit of the flesh to make room for the filling.
  2. In a bowl, mix the drained tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and optional celery or red onion.
  3. Season your mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Spoon the tuna mixture generously into the avocado halves.
  5. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

Use ripe but firm avocados; they should yield slightly when gently squeezed. Squeeze a drop of lemon juice on the avocado flesh after scooping to prevent browning.
