A fun and unique dessert that combines creamy vanilla ice cream with a crispy, hot shell.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup cornflakes, crushed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Chocolate or caramel sauce (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Scoop ice cream into balls and freeze until firm (about 120 minutes).
  2. Set up a breading station with flour, beaten egg, and crushed cornflakes mixed with cinnamon.
  3. Roll each ice cream ball in flour, dip in egg, then coat with cornflakes.
  4. Freeze the coated balls for another 60 minutes.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Fry the ice cream balls for about 10-15 seconds until golden brown.
  7. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  8. Drizzle with chocolate or caramel sauce before serving.

Notes

Serve immediately after frying for the best texture. Experiment with different toppings like whipped cream, cherries, or nuts.
